How long have you been working at the school and how did you get involved with it?
I have been working at DELS for 7 years. I moved to Bundoran in 2008 and was lucky enough to find the school. I had been working in the language sector in Dublin, so it was great to continue in that field and join the team at DELS.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
When I’m not working I like to read a lot and I catch up on TV box sets. I love cooking so I enjoy having people round for dinner. I also love music and I do sing a bit when I can. Weather permitting, I spend a lot of time working in my garden and taking my lovely Jojo (a border collie/labrador mix) for walks.
Is there a favourite place in Bundoran you like to go?
It has to be the beach….I spend a lot of time there with Jojo. I also like the Roguey walk.
What makes DELS different to any other language school in Ireland or specifically Dublin for example?
DELS is great!! It’s like a family…everybody works well together and takes a personal interest in staff and students, both in and out of the classroom. So much is organised for students when it comes to activities and excursions and the learning environment is easy-going and motivational, with a huge emphasis on communication.
Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to the welfare of the students and students know that the whole team is always on hand to give them whatever help and support they need. Unlike other schools DELS doesn’t switch off at the end of the school day and students have a great learning and cultural experience.
