Why Atlantic Explorers

Real adventure, held inside real structure

  • Surfing, kayaking, hiking, filmmaking on a real coastline
  • One crew, one shared language, nationalities from across Europe
  • Independence with real stakes, inside consistent structure

The Framework

Four pillars, held for two weeks.

Fourteen days, one coastline

Each week, the crew follow the same expedition, click here to discover the programme in more detail or view the itinerary below.

The Expedition Game

A points system built to include, not just to reward speed

Each week, every student joins a named crew—Slieve League, Benbulben, Malin, or Mizen—that stays together for the week.

  1. Crews — Small, mixed-nationality teams named after Wild Atlantic Way landmarks. Same crew for meals, challenges, and evenings.
  2. Passport — A visual logbook, stamped after every activity — something tangible for every student to track, fill and keep.
  3. Points — Discover, Create, Connect and Grow points are earned for effort, teamwork, and English use—not only for winning.
  4. Leaderboard — Crew totals are shared to build a storyline
  5. Why it matters — points reward contribution, not just ability, so quieter students earn visible ground alongside stronger swimmers or hikers.

Safety & Standards

Adventure only earns its place alongside real safeguarding. This is the infrastructure behind every day on the itinerary.

  • Certified instruction — A qualified team of vetted & first-aid trained staff,
  • Parent communication — Weekly photo and progress updates plus a direct, named contact for every family.
  • Medical & dietary screening — Full medical, allergy, and dietary information is reviewed before arrival, with a designated welfare officer on site.
  • Always reachable — An on-call emergency contact for parents runs for the full duration of the programme, day and night.

Lubiana Dussubieux - French

Even though I had been to Ireland once with my parents, this was my first time travelling on my own, so I learned a lot and became more independent. I also really enjoyed playing volleyball on the beach, Frisbee, and taking part in all the activities with the other students. I made wonderful memories, met amazing people, and had an unforgettable time. Thank you so much for everything!
