Welcome an international student into your home and offer them a true “home away from home.” Hosting with Donegal English Language School is a wonderful way to share Irish culture while earning extra income.
What Hosting Involves
Hosting with us comes with limited daily obligations.
- Our junior students are busy at the school 6 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Once dropped off, they spend the full day with us — lessons, activities, and excursions included.
- Our Host Family Bus brings students back to your local collection point each evening.
- Sunday is typically their arrival and departure day. During Summer Camp, many students stay longer than one week and enjoy a free day with you on Sundays.
Hosting Rates (Based on a 7-Night Stay)
Junior Mini Stay (February–June & September–November)
- €170 per week for one student
- €340 per week for two students
- €510 per week for three students
Junior Summer Camp (June 14 – August 23)
- €182 per week for one student
- €354 per week for two students
- €531 per week for three students
Adult Students (All Year Round)
- €225 per week (low season)
- €250 per week (summer season)
What You Can Expect
- Typically 1–3 students per family (maximum 4)
- Students are with you only in the evenings
- A bus service brings students home every evening
- 24/7 support from our experienced DELS accommodation team
What You Provide
- A comfortable home and warm Irish welcome
- Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner each day
- A chance for students to practice English in a family environment
