Book with Confidence
Donegal English Language School (DELS) is delighted to announce its ‘Book with Confidence’ campaign.
Donegal English Language School has been providing a range of English Language programmes to people all over the world for 30 years. We want to ensure that anyone travelling to Donegal on one of our programmes, feels confident when booking and has an assurance that they will be guaranteed a full refund if they cancel up to 28 days before the course starts, less administration fees, with no questions asked.
We have worked very hard to provide a safe and secure environment for anyone studying at DELS during Covid, below outlines different scenarios when studying with us.
Future bookings
For all future bookings, we will offer a full refund less a €75 administration fee for anyone cancelling a course, plus any booking fees charged.
Postponing a course
- If a student wishes to postpone their course, we will give a credit voucher valid for two years from the course start date.
Cancelling a course
- Any groups or students cancelling more than 28 days before the start date of the course they had booked will receive a full refund less the €75 registration fee per student.
Any groups or students cancelling within 28 days before the start date of the course they had booked will receive a full refund less 20% and the €75 registration fee per student.
Any groups or students cancelling within 7 days of the start date of the course they had booked will receive a 50% refund per student.
DELS may use their discretion depending on the reason for withdrawal in the case of late cancellations. Should a late cancellation be necessitated by government travel restrictions in either the student’s home country or Ireland then a full refund less the €75 registration fee per student will be applied.
Please note that the above does not apply to anyone already issued a credit note.
Secure booking
To secure your booking a deposit of €100 per student is required
Current bookings
For all students who have already booked on school-based courses, but are unable to attend because of travel restrictions, the following options are available:
- A credit voucher valid for up to December 2022.
- Transfer of all of the fees to a DELS online course.
- Transfer of part of the fees to a DELS online course, with a credit voucher as above for the remaining balance.
NB: All vouchers are non-transferable except to another family member.
Payments
Payments for all courses are to be made 21 days in advance of arrival.
If the course start date is less than 21 days prior to arrival, payment should be made on receipt of the invoice.
All courses are paid in full prior to starting the course
Once the course has started
Once the course has started, if the student cannot continue their course in Ireland, they can choose one of the following options
- Online classes for the full remaining weeks.
- A credit voucher for the remaining number of full weeks of their course, the voucher will have a validity of 2 years from the date issued.
Accommodation
If host family/residential accommodation with DELS has been booked and the student chooses to leave early, a refund will be given for the remaining full weeks, less 2 weeks.
Visa students
When booking, students will need to pay a €200 booking deposit to secure their place. The balance of the booking can be paid three weeks prior to arrival or in up to 5 instalments
Postponing a course
- If a student wishes to postpone their course, we will give a credit voucher valid for two years from the course start date. There will be no additional fee if they want to change their date up to 2022.
Cancelling a course visa students
- Students may cancel up to 14 days before the course start date. Students may choose between a credit voucher (as above) or a full refund of fees, less a fee of €200 to cover any bank and administration fees.
- If the student cancels under 14 days before the course start date, we will give a credit voucher valid for 2 years from the course start date.
Please note that the above does not apply to anyone already issued a credit note.

Please note that DELS will follow and uphold all ILEP guidelines and regulations regarding any changes to bookings for visa students. Students should contact their booking agent for assistance in the first instance
If you postpone your course to a later date, the following fees may vary as they are external to DELS, IELTS exam, accommodation fee, medical insurance fee, transfer fee.
