Donegal Language School provides academic semesters in conjunction with Magh Ene College, Bundoran, Co Donegal, Ireland.
The High School Programme is open to students aged 12 – 17 years who wish to learn English and immerse themselves into the Irish culture and way of life. Our programme provides students with an invaluable opportunity for personal development, increasing cultural knowledge and awareness, and gaining confidence in using another language.
About The School
Magh Ene School was re opened in a new building in 2006 and currently has around 400 students. The school offers a comprehensive Educational System. The school offers a broad range of academic subjects in science, technology and the arts, and the atmosphere in our chosen schools is caring and supportive.

A special curriculum incorporating horse riding and or surfing can be incorporated onto the high school programme.
Coordinator Service
We provide a fully comprehensive coordinator service for the student during his or her stay with us.
Parents are kept informed as to their child’s academic progress and general welfare at all times and can be confident that their child will receive the best possible care and attention.
As well as receiving regular visits from our staff, the student can contact his or her coordinator at any time and for any reason, and parents are also encouraged to contact us at any time.
We have a long-standing and close relationships with the families we work with and are in constant contact with them. As part of that service we carefully monitor academic progress and act as a liaison between the family and the school and teachers.
Medical and Travel Insurance
All students are advised to take out a travel insurance policy that covers medical expenses, repatriation, loss or theft of property and cancellation or curtailment of course. Students from EU countries should also bring a European Health Insurance Card which covers public medical care.
Entry Requirements
Students should be aged between approximately 12 and 17 years to attend high school in Ireland
Level of English
The minimum level of English required is equivalent to TOEFL 450, IELTS 4.5 or Cambridge First Certificate. It is usually possible to have extra English classes during the school year but students should be confident of their English language skills before embarking on a high school programme.
