Donegal Language and Equestrian Centre welcomes you to our English Language and Equestrian Camp based in Bundoran in the beautiful west of Ireland. The camp is suitable for individuals travelling alone or with friends and small groups.
Ages 12-17
We also run seperate weeks everys summer for students who are under 12. For more information, please contact us.
The English and Riding package includes:
- accommodation,
- 24 hour supervision
- three meals a day and snacks
- 15 hours of English per week,
- 5 afternoons of riding*
- laundry facilities
- evening activities including bowling, cinema, Irish music and dance workshops, team building, talent shows, Dvd’s etc.
- cultural excursion every Saturday taking in beautiful Irish scenery as well as a spot of shopping
- Certificate and Post Teachers Report on completion of course
Level
From novice to experienced (beginners are accepted from June 17th – July 01st).
Equestrian Activities
The horse activities on your holiday include:
- beach rides on our 10km stretch of beach, treks through our rolling sand dunes
- lessons
- lunging
- flatwork
- jumping
- video analysis
- pony games
- cross country for the novice upwards
- pony games and gymkhanas
- stable management
*Clients ride around 2 hours per day with other time being spent on horse care.
Open
Halloween, Easter, May 31st – September 12th (groups with a minimum of 6 can be accepted all year round). Individuals can also be accepted all year round on the Intensive Horse and Host Family stay programme.

Donegal Language Residential
The students stay in the residential accommodation which is situated less than one minutes walk from the Atlantic coast. Each house has 4 spacious rooms and 3 – 4 bathrooms which accommodate 8 – 10 students and 1 coordinator. All meals are provided at the houses. WIFI is also available for students
We also work with a select number of host families that provide a home from home experience
Holiday homes and B & B’s can be organised for parents who wish to enjoy the north west of Ireland while their children are being entertained in the camp. Please contact us for more details.
The Language School
Established over 22 years ago in 1989, Donegal Language School has a wealth of experience working with various clients from a diverse range of cultures and nationalities. This experience ensures that we provide a world-class service, helping us to provide:

• A relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere for students to learn and have fun.
The school offers stunning views of the Atlantic Coast and Donegal Bay from most classrooms.
English Classes
The English classes run for 3 hours every morning/afternoon depending on the level of the students. Reading, writing, oral and listening are covered each day in the classes by fully qualified teachers. Particular attention is given to issues of interest to teenagers and everyday English speaking situations. One to One options are also available, contact us for further details.
The Equestrian Centre
The Equestrian Centre is BHS and AIRE approved. The facilities include:
-Some of the best riding terrain in the whole of Ireland including, a 10 km beach and 1000 sq acres of rolling sand dunes on our doorstep, mountain, lake and forest trails all within a short distance of the yard
-Indoor and outdoor arenas
-Cross country schooling course
-Over 45 horses and ponies to suit everyone’s needs
-Friendly and professional staff
Evening Activities
Our evening activities include water sports, onsite discos, bowling, treasure hunts, cinema, art and music workshops, talent shows, silly olympics, DVD’s etc.
Cultural Excursion
We also provide a cultural excursion along with an opportunity for the students to shop every Saturday. Some of the destinations include:
- Slieve League and Donegal Town
- Eagle Sanctuary and Sligo Town
- Lough Key National Park and Boda Borg
- The wall of Derry and Derry City
- Glenveagh National Park and Letterkenny
English and Riding Package
The English and Riding package is all inclusive and includes accommodation, full board, 15 hours of English per week, 15 – 17 hours of riding per week, a cultural excursion each week, evening activities which include water sports, bowling, cinema, art and music workshops, DVD’s etc.

Transfers
Transfers from Dublin cost €110 in total (transfer * 2)and collections and drop offs are between 10 – 6.00 pm on a Sunday
