Welcome to the English and Surfing Programme at Donegal Language School, Bundoran, Co Donegal. Bundoran is known as “Irelands Surf Capital” and offers a wide array of waves to suit all levels. So why not combine you chosen past time with a unique English language learning experience. Below is further information on the course, accommodation, transfers etc.
Accommodation.
Students can choose to stay in our residential accommodation or with one of our select host families. We also work with a range of Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels.
Our residential centre is situated less than one minutes walk from the Atlantic coast and 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Each house has 4 spacious rooms, 3 - 4 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and sitting room. Each house accommodates 4 to 6 students. A private room with continental breakfast is included. There is also a lovely pedestrian walk along the sea front from the houses to the town centre.
We also work closely with a small network of host families to ensure that each student has a home from home experience. A private room with Half board is offered in host families.
English Classes
Based in our beautiful Georgian building with spectacular views of the Atlantic coast and Donegal Bay. The English classes run every morning/afternoon depending on the level of the students. Reading, writing, oral and listening are covered each day in the classes by fully qualified teachers. This is an ‘all-round’ course, specially designed and conducted to encourage you to join in, grow in confidence and develop your knowledge and oral skills in good, practical English. Students are tested regularly to make sure they are at the right level. The classes are taught in a fun and interactive manner. Classes sizes on average are 8 students with a maximum of 10 students.
Level
Elementary to advanced. We recommend One to One English for all students with a beginner level.

Bundoran is known as the surf capital of Ireland. So it is a great place to learn of advance in surfing. All levels are catered for in our surfing camps. With numerous beaches and breaks on our doorstep, there is a beach to suit every level. Tuition and video analysis is provided by our fully qualified instructors. All equipment is also provided

Transfers
Transfers from Dublin are €55 each way and collections and drop offs are between 10 – 6.00 pm on a Sunday or alternatively there is a public bus that runs every two hours from the airport and the cost is €19.50 one way

English and Surfing with Residential Accommodation Stay
Prices are €620 for one week, €1240 for two weeks, €1855 for three weeks.
The English and Surfing with Host Family Accommodation Package
Prices are €660 for one week, €1320 for two weeks, €1965 for three weeks.
One to One English and Surfing with Host Family Accommodation Package
Prices are €870 for one week and €1740 for two weeks (includes 10 hours one to one).
Transfers
Transfers are arranged from Dubin and Knock airport.
We car arrange transfers from Dublin for €55 each way on the condition that students arrive between 10 – 6.00 pm on Sundays. (This price might vary September – June). There is also a public bus that runs from the airport to Ballyshannon every two hours. We then offer free transfers from Ballyshannon. This bus costs €19.50 each way. *Transfer fees outside of peak times may vary slightly.
Transfers fees from Knock are €40 per person if two or more people are being collected and €75 each way for individual transfers. There is also a public bus service with 7 buses daily from Knock airport to Bundoran. Fees are around €16 each way.

Residential accommodation is self catering and includes continental breakfast only.
Host family accommodation is half board and includes breakfast and dinner.
A high season accommodation placement fee of €30 per week applies for July and August only on all English and Activity Programmes.
If the number of students in English classes falls below 3 students a 2 hour semi intensive class will be offered instead.
